Contracted to
provide a PRINCE2 Workstream Leader to plan a project for the implementation of a
new General Ledger, to then implement a Procurement System and manage the
selection of a systems vendor. The project budget was £3m external spend
plus 70 man-years of internal resources.
Achieved the following in this politically charged situation:-

and vendor selection by a combination of Conference Room Pilots, vendor
visits, reference visits and contract negotiation; |

established
a Project Management Office; |
 |
managed production of the
Project Plan (Work Breakdown Structure, Terms of Reference, estimation
of resource requirements and the Risk Register); |

authored the systems
aspects of the Business Case; |
 |
managed the planning
process to accommodate a two-fold increase in the project's scope. |

Workstream Manager. Planned and managed part of the implementation of a
mission critical system to support de-regulation of the electricity supply
industry. Identified and managed project risks and used the PRINCE
methodology.

a Programme Director to plan and manage the implementation of a distributed
CAD design repository for our client's customer. Carried out the risk
assessment, managed the change control process and escalated issues where
appropriate.
