A large Government-owned air traffic organisation.
Contracted to provide a Workstream Leader to plan a project for the implementation of
a new General Ledger, to then implement a Procurement System and manage the selection of a
systems vendor. The project budget was £3m external spend plus 70 man-years of internal
resources.
Achieved the
following in this politically charged situation:-
- facilitated both product and
vendor selection by a combination of Conference Room Pilots, vendor visits, reference
visits and contract negotiation;
- established a Project Management
Office;
- managed production of the Project
Plan (Work Breakdown Structure, Terms of Reference, estimation of resource requirements
and the Risk Register);
- authored the systems aspects of
the Business Case;
- managed the planning process to
accommodate a two-fold increase in the project's scope.
A large
utility company.
Contracted to supply a Workstream Manager. Analysed, planned and managed the
production, in a mission critical PRINCE environment, of:-
- re-engineered business end-to-end
process maps;
- computer security and controls
within business processes;
- a risk containment portfolio
(facilitated risk evaluations and consequent proposals for computer software
enhancements).
An
international computer services company.
(Parthenon's fifth contract with this customer)
Contracted to supply a Programme Director to plan and manage the re-structuring of a
European subsidiary business with the associated Business Process Re-engineering and
computer system move. Co-ordinated the resulting projects to move computers across Europe,
upgrade applications, close down a Dutch subsidiary company, modify the communications
infrastructure and begin a new operation in the UK.

Contracted to supply a
Business Assurance Co-ordinator to carry-out these tasks:-
- to manage a Business Process
Re-engineering initiative to improve the provision of spare parts for road vehicles.
Facilitated brainstorming sessions, documented the plan using PMW and contributed to the
team's final report;
- to manage the business aspects of
the development of an aircraft equipment support system. Carried out risk assessment,
managed the change control process and tracked budgets.
- to manage the implementation of an
equipment business planning system.
