In Collision Course, the chain of events of two major tragedies unravels before your eyes. This film reveals the science and psychology behind a rail crash in 1997, where seven British commuters were killed, and a plane crash in 1989, where nearly half the passengers survived.
The rail crash episode unravels the eight-and-a-half seconds of the crash to discover why some passengers died, while others apparently more at risk did not. The plane crash episode combines powerful human testimony and the latest in graphics techniques. It examines not only what brought down the Boeing 737, but also why some survived and others did not. The single most likely thing to kill you before the age of 40 is suicide or travelling.
